I’m certain they spent thrice as long getting bundled as they could tolerate staying outside, but these are the things we do as Midwesterners. Blow bubbles and throw boiling water into the air when it’s 40 below windchill. Watch the bubbles pop and the flaky residue flitter to the ground. Then realize after about four minutes that the six-inch expanse of your face that’s exposed is pretty darn cold, and go back inside.
