Sunday afternoon I reunited with my gorgeous friend Jessica, her sassy little redheaded daughter (whom I first photographed when she was just a few weeks old), her two funny and precotious boys, and her husband Jesse, who was a good sport but gave off the distinct vibe that he would rather have been watching football. Guess I can’t blame him.

We did a quick and relaxed session at a park in Wisconsin Dells. I won’t show the full-family photos here, because Jessica hasn’t chosen one for her Christmas cards yet and I wouldn’t want to spoil it. But check out these kids. Love ‘em.

So I’ve received requests from some of my amazing clients to post more photos of my new daughter, Juniper. They didn’t have to twist my arm too hard, really.

So many of them — from brides to seniors to parents with very photogenic little ones of their own — were working with me during my pregnancy. I was photographing their momentous life events while experiencing one of my own. It was incredible.

A friend joked that she came out of the womb a ham, and that’s not too far from the truth. She was three weeks old in these photos.

Yes, that’s a tutu on a newborn. So sue me. After two very rough and tumble boys, I couldn’t wait to shop the girls’ section.

Thanks again, everyone, for your patience and support! I’m looking forward to working with you again soon…

Morgan and Stu were married about a year ago at Devil’s Lake State Park near Baraboo. I didn’t have the privilege of photographing their wedding, but they asked me to help them recapture some of the magic of their wedding day at Devil’s Lake with anniversary photos. We got a gorgeous late October day, they were a phenomenally sweet couple, and still obviously in that honeymoon period. So we had a lot of fun and got some beautiful images in the process.

They said they were bringing their dog but failed to mention he was a Great Dane. He was a gentle giant, though, and clearly a big part of Morgan and Stu’s life together.

Thank you, Morgan and Stu, for the beautiful afternoon. I’m sure the many years of marriage ahead of you will be as happy as your first.
